Age 52 of St. Paul, passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2025. He will be deeply missed by those who survive him: wife, Aleita; daughter, Hemione; parents, Idelfonso and Esther; siblings, Rodrigo, Carmen (Pablo Prieto), Rosalina, Juan (Vella), Norma (Martin Lopez), Maribel (Carlos Morales), Jose Ernesto (Theresa); and a large extended family of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Samantha.
Alfonso was a devoted father and husband, and he loved the Lord and his faith community at Our Lady of Guadalupe. He was a member of many prayer groups, played music and was part of the eucharistic and adoration ministries. He was a big fan of baseball and was always playing his guitar whenever he could. He welcomed many with an open heart and open arms. There aren't words to express the love Alfonso's family has for him.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00am Wednesday, January 8 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Diocesan Shrine, 401 Concord Street, St. Paul. Visitation will also be on Wednesday, 4-8pm at Simple Traditions by Bradshaw, 488 Humboldt Ave S. St. Paul. Alfonso’s family requests that guests wear white to the service.
