Passed away unexpectedly on June 10, 2021 at the age of 38. Alonzo was born in Saint Paul to Diana and Eliseo Romo. In his youth, he developed a love and skill playing soccer and being the life of any party or gathering. He loved dancing, family gatherings, and listening to music. Later, he played softball “recreationally” in tournaments and numerous leagues and teams. Zo was a fantasy football superstar and loved Sunday fundays. He enjoyed the hours spent with his Pa learning to cook enchiladas. He liked laying around with his little man, Dexter, and watching videos on the Tok. Zo’s greatest pride and joy was his daughter, Aliana. He loved spending time with her playing Nintendo Switch, binge watching shows and movies, watching her dance recitals, and going to her gymnastics meets. Regardless of what he said, he loved to go to Universal Orlando, spending time with family and friends. For many years, Alonzo was an overnight manager at Xcel Energy Center and recently worked at the University of Saint Thomas.
Alonzo is preceded in death by his grandparents Antonia and Juan Hernandez, and Jesus Romo, and his best friend Andre Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Briana; daughter, Aliana; parents, Diana and Eliseo; sister, Sarena; nieces and nephews, Marcel, Thalina, Mario, Marizio, Sarellia, Allia, Alicea; along with his grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, in-laws, and countless friends.
