Althea Richards

Althea Richards, lovingly called "Dal" by family and friends, was born on June 27, 1936, in Trinidad and Tobago. She crossed over to her eternal life on November 29, 2020. In the mid-seventies, Dal relocation to the United States and entered the nursing profession as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She raised her seven children with love and devotion in the city of Port of Spain. She is survived by five of her seven children: the five surviving include three girls, Antoinette Richards, Sharon Noel-Richards, and Monica Jackson; along with two boys, Dexter Richards and Hayden Richards. Her sisters, Phyllis Walker and Romilla Dickson, will miss her deeply. As will her life partner, Chris Okonkwo; countless grand and great grandchildren. Dal loved life, and she was a gem to family, friends, and her community. We will miss her wisdom, strength, and courageous spirit. It was her wish to celebrate her life in death. Farewell to one of Earth's kind souls. A private family service is scheduled for Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the St. Jude Gift Fund.
