Arch Luke Hum, age 91, of St. Paul and formerly Eagan, died peacefully with his daughter by his side on August 18, 2016.
Arch was born March 13, 1925 in Minneapolis, preceded in death by wife Vilma, parents and five siblings. He is survived by daughter Missy (Jay Sieler) Hum, brothers Allen (Betty) Hum, Abie Hum and many nieces & nephews. Arch lived to golf and helped in the opening of the Hastings Country Club in many ways, including laying sod and planting trees. You could find him out there several times a week. He served in WWII as a Staff Sgt. and was stationed in Manila, Philippines where he also learned to golf. He will be remembered for his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor.
A celebration of his life will be held from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1200 Marquette Ave in Minneapolis, MN.
Please bring a story or memory about Arch to share with everyone as part of the celebration. Private interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer's Association are preferred.
