Audrey J. McNamara.
Born Oct. 11, 1929, passed away August 19, 2015 at her home in Roseville, MN.
After graduating from Ivanhoe High School in 1947, she began working for a local bank. She moved to the Twin Cities, and found work as a typist for Twin City Testing. There she met Richard McNamara, whom she married in 1955. They had two children, Kim and Craig.
When both children were in high school, she went back to work as a typist in the classified department of the Pioneer Press newspaper. She retired in 2004, after 30 years on the job.
After her husband, Richard, passed away in 1992, she became more active in her church, including singing in the church choir and playing in the bell choir. She chaired the bake sale for the annual church fall bazaar for 20 years (baking was always a favorite activity for her). She also traveled around the world with tour groups, visiting London, New Zealand, Paris and Australia.
In 1999, she became the proud Grandmother of twin boys. One of her great joys in the last five years was attending their band and orchestra concerts.
Audrey is survived by her two children, Kim Quist, and Craig McNamara (Sharon); and by her grandsons, Matthew and Michael McNamara. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her younger brother, Arlon, and her parents, James and Hazel Amundson.
