Ms. Charlene Young was born on Dec 11th in Helena, Arkansas to Ida Mae Banks and Michael Pittman. She went to be with the Lord on July 13th 2018. Charlene was loved and will be missed by her family.

She attended school in Helena, Arkansas. Charlene traveled to several cities before deciding to settle in St Paul, MN. She was married to Walter Young and this union produced two amazing sons Craig Young and Dontrell Young. She worked at Bethesda for over 20 years before retiring in 2016.
Charlene was devoted to her faith, it was obvious that she loved the Lord. Charlene was a quiet, peaceful and caring person. She loved reading, cooking and spending time with her family. Also, she enjoyed shopping and always found a bargain deal!

She is preceded in death by her mother, Ida Mae Banks and father, Michael Pittman; brother, Emmit Sims Jr. and sister, Helen Sims. She will always be remember by sons, Craig Adrian Young of Blaine, MN and Dontrell (Anuli) Young of West St. Paul, MN; three uncles, Lawrence Banks of Cleveland, OH, Alvin Banks of St Louis, MO, Tyrone Banks of Memphis, TN; two aunts, Matty Thompson of St Louis, MO, Pauline Brewer of Memphis, TN. Three grandchildren, Micaiah Young, Jahz Young and Arinze Young. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
