Chris "Chief" Wanna, 63 Passed away on 12/21/24 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. He was the partner of Lori Schultz. They shared 47 years together.
Chief was born in St. Paul, Mn, He was the son of Crespin D Herrera and Roseann Wanna. He will be remembered for his kind heart, hilarious jokes and the love that he had for all. Chief loved sports, He loved to play softball, was a great bowler and also a pool shark. He was a big family man, he loved his family and close friends fiercely. He was always so kind and giving, even when he didn't have much to give, he found a way to help others in need. He liked to put together care packages for anyone in need. Sometimes the care packages would contain food and drinks and sometimes they would have household supplies or whatever was needed.
He was a lover of animals especially his beloved dog Poncho, and his grand puppies. He loved to cook, talk on the phone, and send funny messages to his daughter everyday. He loved taking trips to the casino with Lori to play the slot machines. His favorites were Michaels Pizza and Candyland Popcorn with extra butter and extra salt. Chief will be missed Immensely Now and Forever.
He is survived by life partner Lori Schultz, Daughter Jennifer (Diggz) Garza, Sister Lucy Herrera, Brother Julian (Kelly) Herrera, Sister Toni (Juan) Torres, Sister Sandra (Jestin) Dawson, Aunt Patricia Wanna, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by father Crespin D Herrera, Mother Roseann Wanna, Grandparents, His beloved dog Poncho, Siblings, Rita, Nena, Lupe, Penie, Dee-Dee, Linda & Joseph, Niece Rosalinda and many aunts' uncles and other loved ones.
