Goski, Dale Jon

Our beloved Dale passed away peacefully at the Veterans Administration Hospice unit on December 11th. He was employed as a Cemetery Representative at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery, a job in which he loved and was excelled at. He graduated from Harding High school where he played athletics. He graduated with a BA in Political Science from the University of Minnesota. DJ was a proud and dedicated Marine, serving from 1996 to 2000. He loved his Family, the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He was a good, generous, and caring friend, helping all those in need. He loved to joke and had a great sense of humor. DJ was preceded in death by his parents Roger and Sandra Goski, his sister Kristin LaVine, and his grandparents. He is survived by his twin brother Erik Goski, his uncle Glenn (Sally) Goski, his special cousin Charlie Goski and many relatives and dear friends. Special thanks to his Coworkers, Vigilant Guardians Veterans MC, North St Paul American Legion, and the staff at the VA Hospice unit.

Celebration of life will be held on Friday December 23, 2022 at Grace Lutheran Church 1730 Old Hudson Road, St. Paul, Minnesota. Service at 11am with visitation one hour preceding. Small luncheon will be served following the service. Gathering for the interment is at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 2:30 pm.

Even in civilian life he would gather friends to visit cemeteries  and seek out those forgotten soldiers, as far back to the early 1900's, to honor these heroes, cleaning head stones and grass that had grown in. Few know this about DJ, but it was his calling. He also worked with the St. Paul Parks and Recreation Dept, working with youth. He was a role model, mentor for all those that his life touched, with a unique combination of humor, respect, and leadership.
