A talented multi-instrumentalist with a lively sense of humor, Dan's passion for life was only surpassed by his love of family. He had a fondness for Como Park, where during his formative years, he could often be found outside, biking the trails, and getting into a healthy amount of child's mischief. He attended Holy Childhood Primary School, Ramsey Jr. High, and Central High School.
In 1980, Dan married Janet, and together they created a beautiful life, helping raise six children along the way. His excitement for life's simple treasures was exemplified by summers spent riding bikes, cooking out, enjoying drive-in movies, and taking trips up north to Lake Superior with his kids (Alisha, Nick, Rachael, Josiah, Noah and Holly).
He earned his living as an Independent Contractor and Painter in the metro and surrounding areas. His accolades are far and wide, from work he did for professional athletes like Kirby Puckett and Randall McDaniel, to local politicians, such as Jesse Ventura. He was incredibly talented. Put a brush in his hand, some tunes in his ears, and he could create a masterpiece.
He leaves behind a legacy of devoting his time and talents to helping others, which began at Good Shepherd Church, where he forged lifelong relationships, and continued through his time serving in the Prison Ministry and on the worship team at Redeeming Love Church. Dan will be missed by every life he touched, most especially his mother, siblings, children, and grandchildren.
