Danilo "Rashad" Artez

Danilo Artez II, affectionately known as Rashad Khalil, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025, at his home in St. Paul, MN. He was born on August 10, 1959, in Cleveland, OH, to Mary Crawford and Danilo Artez Sr. Rashad was the elder brother to Richard Artez, Danilo Artez III, Angelique Nikolopoulos, and Marguerite Artez.

Rashad was a devoted husband to Lisa Allen, with whom he embarked on a new life in Minnesota in the early 1990s. Their bond lasted over 33 years, filled with cherished memories and a beautiful family. He was a loving father to Maurice Artez, Ray Allen, Divere Allen, and Malika Khalil. He also embraced several bonus children: Felicia Snow, Jamie Miller, Joseph Rousseau, and Chuck Love. As a doting grandfather, he took great joy in his grandchildren: Stephon Allen, Maurice Artez Jr., Ayanna Snow, Emily Grell, Demario Allen, Janessa Durham, Nadia Allen, Alani Allen, Jaida Allen, Amarion Killebrew, Ayva Allen, Raya Allen, Camila Slack, Jakai Killebrew, Kayden Killebrew, and Amira Allen, along with his many great-grandchildren.

Rashad was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Crawford; father, Danilo Artez Sr.; sister, Mary "Liz" Artez; and granddaughter, Stefanie Artez.

He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.
