Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, wife
Died on Thanksgiving Day, 2016 in the presence of those who loved her, a fitting day for a person who lived her life with gratitude. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Ruth Hysong. She is survived by husband, Neil Tianen; children, Rachel (Cory Turner) Taylor, Rebekah (Neptali Rodriguez-Espinel) Taylor, Christopher Tianen, Benjamin (Sophia) Tianen, Matthew Tianen; grandchildren, Eamon, Rowan, Tristan, Theo; siblings, Joseph Hysong, Elisabeth (Robert) Mahoney; stepmother, Mary Elizabeth Hysong; special nieces and nephews, Sarah, Jessica, Caleb and Luke; many family friends. Deborah was a deep thinker who lived in the moment. Ever a nurturer, she could find grace in any situation, and she loved to laugh. Her husband Neil is especially thankful for her 'willingness to take an occasional existential risk.' Special thanks to the staff at Our Lady of Peace Hospice for their excellent care. A memorial service will be 11AM Thursday at Unity Church - Unitarian, 733 Portland Ave, St Paul with visitation one hour prior. Memorial gifts preferred to Our Lady of Peace Hospice or Unity Church-Unitarian.
