Dennis Frank White gently left this earth Monday, January 13th, 2020 at home with his beloved wife of 40 years after a valiant 17-year struggle with Parkinson’s disease. Dennis’s memorial service will be held Friday, January 24th at Plymouth Covenant Church at 1 p.m., at 4300 Vicksburg Lane N, Plymouth, MN 55446.
Dennis was born on February 18, 1946, Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Frank and Frances White. Dennis gained a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from California State Polytechnic College, San Luis Obispo, California, June 6th, 1970. He married Dianne Irene White December 8th, 1979. They were blessed with two children and two grandchildren. Dennis worked as a computer programmer for 25 years and continued to do consulting work for an additional 10 years. He loved his profession as it gave him the opportunity to help people and gave him the opportunity to engage in relationships with them.
His wife says, “Dennis was one of the kindest and gentlest men God could have blessed me with. His sense of humor and practical jokes often made me laugh to the point of making my stomach hurt. His love for his children and grandchildren was daily evident when he prayed for them. Although Parkinson’s disease plagued him, he was never bitter, because he learned to lean heavily on his Savior for the strength he needed. Saying that I will miss him does not adequately express my love and thoughts of him.”
He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Joseph White and his mother, Frances Pederson White.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Dianne Irene White, their daughter, Amber Lianne White, and their son, Sean Nathanial White, his brother, Paul White and his sister, Janice Oppegard, his grandchildren Andrew Sean White and Ellyana Rose White.
