Dexter Clarence Linman, of Minneapolis, MN passed away on January 16, 2019 at the age of 89. Dexter Linman was a kind man with integrity, a warm smile and a big heart. He was an Army Veteran and worked as a social worker for Hennepin County for over 30 years. He loved sports, golf most of all, was a dedicated Democrat and won a civic award for his volunteer work at the YMCA working with children. But most of all he loved his family and was very proud of all his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dexter was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Clare Linman. He is survived by his sister, Joyce Traczyk; children, Linda, Steven (Michael Lekberg), Jennifer (Ray) Hanzak, Ellen (Steve Bauer), Matthew and Joyce (Matthew Lamb). Dexter is also survived by grandchildren, Rachel, Josh, Jamie, Sean, Violet, Olivia, Lillian and Liam and many great-grandchildren. Funeral Service, 11:00AM on January 21, 2019 at SIMPLE TRADITIONS BY BRADSHAW, 671 S. Snelling Ave., St Paul with a Visitation beginning at 10:00AM. Private Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the YMCA, Democratic Party or charity of your choice.
