Douglas K. Kjos was born on October 9th 1948 in Fertile Minnesota to parents, Myrtle J. Kjos(Hagen) and Oscar I. Kjos. He passed away on March 20th 2019 in St Paul, Minnesota at the age of 70. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents. He is survived by his brother, Harley K. Kjos (Carol) of Mentor and his sister, Janice Sowada (Stanley) of Avon MN. His significant other, Cheri Kjos and nieces, Angela M. Nyamburi (Isaiah) of Edina MN and Joann Sowada of Randall MN. Nephews, John Moore of Mentor, MN David Moore of Pelzer, SC and Harley Kjos Jr of Coon Rapids. Many Great nieces and nephews. Doug attended public school at Fertile Beltrami where he loved to play Baseball and participate in other activities. He served honorably in the United States Army Special Forces aka The Green Berets from 1965-1968 and was honorably discharged. Doug loved watching the Minnesota Vikings and lots of other sports. He also was very happy that he was able to travel to Norway two times in the last several years. Final interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
