Douglas Woodrow Rowley

Age 94 of St. Paul Passed away December 22, 2017 Preceded in death by brother Howard and sister Ellen. Survived by loving wife of 65 years, Lila; children Mike (Cindy), George (Sue), William deceased (Missy), Robert (Julie), Quint; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; brother-in-law Steve Stevahn (niece Laurie and nephew Mike), and Susan and Dennis Davis/ Neary and family. Also survived by members of the Pates and Galligan families with many step nieces and nephews. Doug was the Chief Engineer Exhaust/Emission Systems at Donaldson Co. Inc. He served in WWII as an Airborne Radio Technician at Army Air Force base at Hickam Field, Hawaii. Avid golf, baseball, fast-pitch softball player, scoutmaster, and coach. Graduate of Central HS in 1942, U of M in 1951. Longtime supporter of the MN Gophers. Doug loved being with family and friends. He extended a warm welcome to everyone he met. He enjoyed a full life. Memorial Services will be held at 11am (10am visitation) on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 700 Snelling Ave S., St. Paul 55116. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Hospitality House Youth Development, Mpls.
