Dwight D. Soeffker

Dwight D. Soeffker, age 63, of Burnsville, MN, passed away on 10/11/23 surrounded by his best friend and only child, Sydney, and other family members after a long, tough battle with cancer.

Dwight was born in Bismarck, ND, to the late Milo and Irene (Adolphsen) Soeffker. He was known to be a banker most of his life but held other various jobs that he loved, like his other business endeavors. In recent years, his passion was playing pickle ball, watching tennis, listening to his favorite artist, James Taylor, and of course cracking jokes and goofing around. Throughout his life, Dwight had a passion for teaching tennis to others, including his daughter. There was never a day that he would forget to mention a match from his glory days. Dwight was an avid traveler to his second home in the Bahamas. His best buddy was Pete, a puppy straight off of Abaco Island, which was a place he loved so dearly.

He is preceded in death by parents, Milo and Irene (Adolphsen) Soeffker; and brother, Greg Soeffker.

Survivors include his daughter, Sydney Soeffker; long time friend, Kimberly Soeffker; sister, Lynne Soeffker-Benson; nieces, Deborah Kuzenski and Kjersten Soeffker-Chase; God-daughter, Savanna Crowell; and best Bahamian puppy, Pete.

A memorial service will be held at 11AM, on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Fridley Covenant Church, 6390 University Ave NE, Fridley, MN, with Pastor Mark Ellingson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
