Moravec, Edith Kathryn (nee Johnson)
A wonderful Mother, loving friend,
gracious hostess and concerned mentor
Edith was born June 2, 1913 in Saint Paul where she remained a lifelong resident. She died September 14, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital after a brief illness. Preceded in death by parents, Ida A. and Ernst T., brother, C. Theodore Johnson, and beloved husband, William J. "Bill" Moravec, all of Saint Paul. She is survived by daughter, Kathryn L. and son, Steven T. Moravec both of Saint Paul as well as niece, Anita Johnson Garvey of Stillwater and sister-in law, Betty Kraft Claussen of Minneapolis. Edith was the long time safe deposit manager at the Highland Bank and resident of the Highland Park neighborhood where she was personally and community involved for many, many years. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, October 31st at 2:00 PM at GLORIA DEI LUTHERAN CHURCH, 700 South Snelling Avenue, Saint Paul, Minnesota 55116. Family will receive friends following the service at church. Private interment at Roselawn Cemetery. Memorials preferred.
