Elizabeth Ann (Kendrick) Lippert

d. November 9, 2021

Elizabeth “Betsey” Lippert, age 63 of Eden Prairie, MN, passed away surrounded by family, on Tuesday, Nov. 9th 2021 after fierce battle with brain cancer and its complications.

She was born on May 6th, 1958 in Wichita, KS to Dr. J Gilleran Kendrick and Mary (Dyer) Kendrick. Her childhood was spent in Wichita, showing horses with her lifelong friends Katie, Ann and Bill. She was a 1976 graduate of Wichita Southeast HS.

She married Ed (EJ the DJ) Lippert on July 1st, 1979, starting the family she devoted her life to. Together they had two sons, Paul and Michael. The family settled in Eden Prairie, MN in 1990. While being an amazing, involved mother, she found the time to graduate from the Carlson School at the U of Minnesota in 2001.

As her children grew, she focused on helping the less fortunate. As her friends remarked, she was a “professional volunteer.” For 22 years, she spent countless hours with Ready for Success, empowering less fortunate women with attire and preparation for interviews and professional settings. Her fellow volunteers became dear friends who will miss her smile and their countless laughs.

Over the past 10 years, her family grew to include 4 grandchildren that she loved “gobs and bunches, bunches and gobs” and spoiled expertly.

She was a strong, kind, honest woman who loved her friends and family unconditionally. We were blessed to have her and will miss her greatly.

Betsey was predeceased by her parents; sister, Nancy; brother, J. “Skip”.

Betsey is survived by Ed, her beloved husband of 42 years; sons Paul (Kristen) of Honolulu, HI and D. Michael (Molly) of St Louis Pk, MN; grandchildren Edward Thomas, Emerson, Eleanor and Charlotte; cousin, Tom Dyer of Wichita, KS; and nephew, Matt Swafford of Portland OR.

Per her request, there will be no funeral. Her ashes will travel to Hawaii to be in paradise near Paul and his family.

In her memory, please consider a donation to Ready for Success via www.ppl-inc.org/donate.
