Elizabeth "Liz" Taveirne

Elizabeth "Liz" Taveirne, age 70, of St. Paul Park, passed away October 27, 2020. Elizabeth was born in 1950 to Harold and Catherine McDonald. She completed her nursing degree, and held a career for many years in long-term care. Depsite working odd hours & long shifts, Elizabeth would be found with camcorder in hand at her children’s many band concerts, soccer and football games, and wrestling matches. She never wanted to lose a moment, cherishing everything about time spent with her family, turning the banal of the day-to-day into an adventure, be it a rare family dinner, to the trips to the cabin. Elizabeth cared deeply about her family, friends, and community, giving what she could when she could to those in need with an abundance of love. She and her boundless energy will be missed by those who knew her. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Catherine; brother, Stephen; and sister, Terri. She is survived by her partner, Richard “Mac” McNeill; children, Amy Grimes, James (Danielle) Taveirne, and Scott (Beth) McNeill; grandchildren, Parker, Jace, Jacob, Madison, and Willoh; brothers, Tom, Joe and Phil;  sister, Paula; and nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends. The celebration of Elizabeth’s life has been postponed due to Covid restrictions. This website will be updated as we get more information. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the family.
