Esther Ditmanson

Ditmanson, Esther Lois


Esther Lois Ditmanson passed away peacefully of natural causes on February
20, 2023, at the age of 93. She was born to missionary parents in Kweiteh, Honan,
China, on October 21, 1929. She worked as a medical technologist at Abbott-
Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis until her retirement. She loved
photography, gardening, rock collecting, and the North Shore.
Esther was pre-deceased by her parents, Fred and Emma Ditmanson, and her
loving siblings, Marcy (Joyce) Ditmanson and Grace (Myron) Adams, and by her
beloved cat, Nicholas. She is survived by numerous nephews and nieces and their
families.
Esther has bequeathed a memorial gift to Global Health Ministries. At her
request, the family will gather in private to remember her. She sends a fond
farewell to friends at 7500 York Cooperative, and she and her family wish to
extend heartfelt gratitude to her caregivers at Lyngblomsten Care Center and the
Hospice Team for their kindness and thoughtful care as she transitioned. Final
arrangements are being handled compassionately by Simple Traditions at
Bradshaw.
