Eugene LaBelle

Passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb. 28, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was a long time West Side resident and owner/employee of GL Window Cleaning Services. Gene was born in La Belle Township near Veblen, SD on June 21, 1928. He was a proud member of the Heipa Veblen district of the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate. Preceded in death by parents Edward Sr. and Margaret, sisters Ruby, Sarah and Rachael, wife Bernadine, grandchildren Sarah and Nathan. Survived by his siblings, Edward Jr., Phoebe and Larry; children, Agnes, Eugene Jr., Howard, Linda, Michael, Darlene, Sarah and Rachael; 14 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and special friend and companion Linda Lee Jean. Visitation Wednesday 4-8PM at Simple Traditions by Bradshaw, 488 Humboldt at Wabasha. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 10AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 401 Concord Street with visitation one hour prior to Mass at church. Interment Riverview Cemetery.
