Fern Valenziano

Fern Winchester Valenziano, age 83 of St. Paul, passed away peacefully October 19, 2018. After completing chef training, Fern went on to make her home a wonderful place for her children. Every family event was special, from birthdays to Christmas. A South Carolinian native, her accent would come out when speaking with her Southern family members. A caring mother, her love was felt by those in and out of the home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph "JD" and Leathia (Arledge) Winchester; son, Don Jr.; daughter, Amy; son-in-law, Jody Drum; siblings, Louise Winchester Guenier, Margaret Winchester Price, Patricia Winchester Turner, Otis Winchester; and special friend, Dennis Banken. Fern is survived by her children, Laura (David Shin), Diane Cox (Ray Tarver), Lynne (Bob) Barstad, and James (Lori); sister, Gladys Turner; brother, James Gray; grandchildren, Ted Milker, Nate Milker, Sierra Milker, Michelle Cox, Renee Cox, Mel Barlament, Jill (Benjamin) Drum Steffens, Kaitlin, Sam (Kevin) Hamm, and Miranda; daughter-in-law, Shirley, son-in-law, Paul Barlament; and many other loving family and friends.
