Johnson, George Edwin

George Edwin Johnson was born on October 12, 1932 in Minneapolis, MN. George peacefully passed away on Monday, October 4th, 2021 after a long struggle with Parkinson’s and Dementia.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Patricia Johnson; daughter, Sherry Woods (Eric); son, Scott Johnson (Winnie); and 3 grandchildren, with a fourth expected in March, 2022. George was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Mary Johnson; his son, Russell; and 3 brothers.

George was an electrician for the Minneapolis Schools for more than 30 years and was a member of the Masonic Lodge #165 where he received his 50-year pin in 2019. He loved to golf, walk, and spend time in the yard. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, October 20 at 11am at LAKEWOOD MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3600 Hennepin Ave S, Mpls, MN.
