Gerald Reisem, age 89 of St. Paul

Jerry passed away peacefully at his home April 27, 2022. Funeral service will be 11:00am Thursday, May 5, 2022 at EMMAUS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1074 Idaho Ave. W, St. Paul, with visitation one hour prior to service.

Jerry was born April 14th, 1933 in New Munich, MN to Daniel and Marie (Lesch) Reisem. After high school he joined the Marine Corps. He served in the Korean War as an Aviation Electrician. Jerry married Joan (Hladky) on June 21, 1958. He worked for various painting contractors throughout his career, and enjoyed Abbott Northwestern Hospital where he was employed over 20 years.

Jerry was an avid gardener; he liked growing roses, raspberries and many vegetables. Lots of weekends were spent fishing at the cabin. He loved going out to eat at his favorite restaurants and occasionally stopping at a candy store. Mostly Jerry enjoyed the simple pleasures in life visiting with neighbors, friends and family.

Survivors include sons, Tony Reisem of Wisconsin, David (Wendy) Reisem of Clear Lake, MN; grandchildren, Rod (Bridget) Lynn, Roxanne (Nick) Halverson, Ryan (Whitney) Reisem, Lauren, Gabe and Luke Reisem; great-grandchildren, Wesley, Melanie, Olivia, Henley; siblings, Lorraine (Gary), Dan (Pat), Sharon (Gene). He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Virginia; daughter-in-law, Sally; and many friends. Interment at Fort Snelling at a later date.
