Survived by children, Michael (Diane) Wheelock, Deborah Boyd, Mary Susan (David) Lakomy, Daniel (Tori) Wheelock, Tami (Michael) Maddio; grandchildren, Jennifer (Corey) Kovacs, Richard (Radhika) Wheelock, Renee (Chandler) Smith, Gary Wheelock, Daniel Boyd, William (Tracie) Boyd, Elizabeth Boyd, Bradley (Shannon) Lakomy, Erin (Michael) Albrecht, Corrine (Alex) Lewis, Amy Wheelock, Nicholas (Amanda) Moriarty, Rachel Maddio, Cole Maddio, Sophia Maddio; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Benjamin, Zachary, Evelyn, Kiran, Maya, Shane, Charlie, Olivia, Zoe, Camden, Kailana, Quinton, Delaney, Lillian, Tatum, Theordore, Joshua, Henrik, Breccan, Kinlee, Elsie; great-great-granddaughter, June. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emory John Wheelock; parents, George and Mary; siblings, Donald, Agnes Schmitz, Gladys Waterman, Douglas, Alexander Frederick, Layton; great-grandson, Henry Boyd.

Glenda grew up in Athelstane, Wisconsin, she attended Wausaukee High School where she met her husband, John. They both graduated in 1954 and were married in 1956. They were part of the 54/50 club which was made up of four couples from the same graduating class who were each married for more than 50 years! They remained lifelong friends.

Glenda and John raised their family in Menominee, MI until 1982 when they moved to California and then finally to Lakeville, MN where they resided for the last 39 years. Throughout her life, Glenda found joy in connecting with others and had a genuine love for people, always welcoming a good chat. Glenda's love extended beyond people to encompass children and animals, particularly dogs. She found solace in the beauty of the outdoors, and tended to her flower gardens with dedication. Glenda and John enjoyed traveling throughout their marriage and they continued to travel in their retirement years. They especially enjoyed visiting National Parks on their trips between California and Minnesota. They spent a lot of time in Alaska visiting Glenda's sister, Agnes. Glenda loved the beach, the mountains, and the Nicolet Forest. Both Glenda and John were lifelong fans (and Glenda was an owner!) of the Green Bay Packers. Her annual "Fakesgiving" celebrations brought family together, creating cherished memories and traditions that will endure.

A memorial service to honor Glenda Fay Wheelock's life and legacy will be held on Sunday, December 8 th at 2:00 PM at the Athelstane Presbyterian Church, N12826 Davis Rd, Athelstane, WI 54104. Memorials preferred to: United Service Organizations (USO), Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
