BLY
Gloria Jean
On September 5th, Gloria Jean (Branham) Bly went to heaven to be with her son, Paul Bly, her parents, Ivan and Beulah Branham, her brother Dale Branham and sister Sharon Frank. She was loved deeply and will be missed dearly by her daughter, Sheila Bly, her granddaughters, Eliana and Meron Bly, fourteen brothers and sisters, and many more nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Born in Loami, IL to Ivan and Beulah Branham, Gloria was the seventh child in a family of 17 siblings. Her family eventually settled in Colorado Springs, CO, where Gloria married Ronald Bly and raised their two children, Paul and Sheila. A stay-at-home mother by day, Gloria attended community college in the evening, receiving an Associates Degree in Accounting. She then worked for the aerospace corporation TRW, Inc. before transitioning to a career as a Sterile Processing Technician, first at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, and then at St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN, after moving to the Twin Cities in 2008 to be closer to her grandchildren. Gloria was a devoted mother and loving grandmother, but above all else, Gloria was a devout Christian, keeping her faith in Jesus Christ at the center of all she did. It was her faith in Jesus that kept her going after the sudden death of her son in 2016, and gave her the strength to endure two years of chemotherapy after being diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer just six months after his passing. Gloria remained close to her siblings throughout her adult life, and was grateful that she was able to attend this summer's family reunion in Colorado Springs to say goodbye. She is survived by brothers Ronald, Russell, Robert, Larry, Frank, Wayne, Ricky, and Paul "Buddy" Branham, and her sisters, Linda Michel, Marilyn Papach, Dorothy Dye, Doris Kunau, Janet Clayburn, and Sandra Schiferl. Service Wednesday, September 12, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at REDEEMER LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3770 Bellaire Avenue, White Bear Lake. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to FMSC.org or Cadence International (Branham Ministry).
