Age 98 passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 10th, 2014. Preceded in death by husbands, Harold, Clare & Ole; parents, Isaac & Marie Peterson; 7 siblings; grandson, Michael and son-in-law, Jerry Klingner. Survived by daughters, Wanda Klingner and Shirley (Fred) Fritschel; grandchildren, Barb (Dan) Erickson, Dan (Kris) Klingner, Gary (Lori) Klingner, Pam (Kikuji) Yanagihashi, Eric (Kristin) Fritschel and Scott (Lauren) Fritschel; 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Iona was active in the Sons of Norway, Immanuel Lutheran Church and Lyngblomsten where everyone benefited from her love of baking. She worked many years at Bethesda and continued to be a caregiver to all throughout her life. Iona was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Service Wednesday, October 15th at 11AM at IMMANUEL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 104 Snelling Avenue South. Visitation starting at 9AM until the time of the service. Private interment Acacia Park Cemetery.
