Jack C Guldberg "Pops"

Jack passed away peacefully on November 24th at age 73 with family by his side. Preceded in death by his parents, Gweth and Goldie Guldberg. Survived by Nancy, his wife of 51 years; children, Lisa George (Carl), and Ryan (Shay); grandchildren, Madison, Alex, Adam, Riley, Rolan, Suzanna, Mitch; brother Glenn (Ginny) of Brainerd.Much loved husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend. Born in Minneapolis, graduated from Southwest High School, earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Mankato. He worked for a regional brokerage firm as Principal, Branch Manager and Vice President until his first cancer diagnoses at age 49. Given a prognosis of 3 years to live, he retired and filled his days with all the things he loved.  His family always came first. His love of family framed his whole life. Jack lived on and loved Lake Minnetonka where his favorite activities were boating, fishing for the elusive walleye, and entertaining family and friends. He played senior softball with a great group of guys in the West Metro League in Edina until he discovered pickleball and that pulled him away from softball buddies to another great group of fun-loving, caring friends.  He loved the social interactions with both groups. Often branded “The Garage Sale King” he enjoyed the hunt for a great deal. Jack wants everyone to know that you can live with the diagnosis of cancer. Be positive, smile, laugh (at yourself, too), hug those you love and enjoy every day. He loved and was loved by so many. He will be greatly missed.

A celebration of Jack’s life will take place on Dec. 21st at the Landscape Arboretum, 3675 Arboretum Dr, Chaska at 4 p.m.
