James O. Huffman

James O. Huffman, age 79 of Inver Grove Heights. Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 20, 2018. Preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry; and grandson, Everette. Survived by wife of 58 years, Diane; children, Keith (Kim), Kristi (Rick), Kurt (Sue), Diana; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, family and friends, as well as his comfort companion dog, Pua. James was instrumental in the Inver Grove Heights community to saving the Rock Island Swing Bridge. This was his biggest accomplishment in the community and because of it, a piece of local history will be here for generations to come. Memorial Service Thursday, October 25th, 11:00 AM at SIMPLE TRADITIONS by BRADSHAW, 488 Humboldt Ave., St. Paul. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Private burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
