James Murphy

April 21, 1954 — April 8, 2024

James Patrick Murphy, "Our Murph" 4/21/54 - 4/8/24, "Our Murph" brought joy and laughter wherever he went. Known for his expertise with hydraulic machinery, particularly heavy duty forklifts, he tirelessly provided for his family.

To support his children's passion for hockey he worked extra jobs sharpening skates at Strauss and often officiated hockey games for many years. "Murph" loved fishing, shooting guns, comedy, and riding motorcycles with his buddy, Don Hayes. He was a devoted father, grandpa, partner to Cathe, and a cherished friend to many. Anyone who's ever met the man, felt his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor - his HUGE sense of humor! "Murph" is survived by his children: Amelia Gallo, James E. Murphy, and Patrick Murphy; grandchildren Joseph, Jamie, Karina, Zara, Andi; and great-grandchild Jaden. He is also survived by his wife, Cathe Franklin; and his sisters Jeanie Passofaro and Mary Kay Cherveny. He's preceded in death by his mother, Marie Murphy, and father, James E. Murphy I.
