Kleppe (Habeck)
Jolene Louise
Age 33
Of Woodbury, MN
Died Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 6:36PM in her home surrounded by her husband, step-daughter, and mother-in-law. She fought a brave battle with brain cancer that ended up being more motivated and energized than even her. Jolene was born December 18, 1984 in Milbank, SD to Orville and Louise (Pribbenow) Habeck of Marvin, SD. She married Joseph Kleppe on April 1, 2016 in Woodbury, MN, and despite popular belief, it was not a prank or a lost bet. Jolene is survived by her husband; her step-daughter Aurora Kleppe of Woodbury, MN; her parents and older brother Jason Habeck of Marvin, SD; aunts, uncles, and cousins around the country; the Herrington family (her adoptive family); and countless friends. Jolene was preceded in death by two miscarried babies as well as her cousin Rose Pribbenow, father-in-law Tom Kleppe, and sister-in-law Sharon Kleppe. Jolene graduated from Wilmot High School in 2003 and received her Associate of Biology from Presentation College in Aberdeen, SD. Upon graduation, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and went on to complete a Master of Acupuncture at the Minnesota College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN. She spent part of her Masters education in Asia, and after graduation spent a year working for the American Association of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine non-profit in Sacramento, CA. Jolene returned to the Robbinsdale, MN area where she worked for ChiroCenter until July 2017 when she was diagnosed with her brain tumor and could no longer work. Jolene was an avid traveler, and she spent as much time as she could traveling with friends enjoying the beauty of many places: favorites included San Francisco, the Gunflint Trail, Chicago, and driving the backroads with her husband. Jolene, despite being an introvert at heart, was most comfortable around those she loved and organizing activities that could be shared among them all. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, August 31, at 12:30PM with visitation beginning 10:00AM at ST. AMBROSE OF WOODBURY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 4125 Woodbury Dr., Woodbury.
