Jose Vasquez Vega

Jose Vasquez Vega, age 93 of the West Side, passed peacefully August 5th, 2018. A true West Sider, Jose worked at Armour for 28 years, after which he retired. He loved to walk the neighborhood, sing, dance, and spend time with his beloved children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Matilda; sisters, Maria Elena, Aurelia; and brother, Victor. He is survived by his children, Marie (Michael) Greenwaldt, Joe Jr (Vicky), Adrian (Louise); loving companion of 25 years, Carmen Bartlette; sister, Maria Acala; grandchildren, P.M.(Gina), Danielle (Xavier) Sproule, Melissa, Brianna (Luke) Russell, Vanessa (Celestino) Serna, Audryanna, Chico, Gabriella, and Tabitha; 16 great-grandchildren, and many other loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends. A celebration of Jose's life will be held Friday, August 10th, 12:00 PM, with visitation 11:00-12:00, all at SIMPLE TRADITIONS BY BRADSHAW, 488 Humboldt Ave., St. Paul. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
