Age 75, of St. Paul Passed away peacefully on July 8, 2017. Preceded in death by son, Jeffery John Ruiz; son-in-law, Robert Shimota. Survived by children, Joey, Gina, Elizabeth Shimota, Catherine (Rafael) Romo, Jacqueline (John) Hutchins, Billy (Cathy Peterson); many grandchildren and great grandchildren and nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Our father was fortunate to retire in Puerta Vallarta his last few years. He came back home very ill and battled many hurdles of health issues. We were fortunate to spend that time with him and for his grandkids to get to know their grandpa better. We will miss our dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, July 12th at 11am at OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE, 401 Concord St., St Paul with a visitation beginning at 9am at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
