Joseph "Joe" James Garcia

Joseph James Garcia, 81 years old, passed away peacefully in his home among his caring family on Dec. 7, 2021.  His final days mirrored his life of laughing, being with family, friends and being embraced by those that love him so much.
Joseph’s life was not short of adventures and stories that enabled his nicknames such as Cannon Ball and EZ Joe.  His joys consisted of adoring and being with his late wife Rose, hanging out with his family and friends in any setting, camping with his brothers,  going to car shows with his car club, the Pharaohs, and going on long drives where he would “get lost” on purpose.

Joe is preceded in death by his wife, Rose Marie and his two sons, Joey and Fred (Gordo), his mother Juanita, father Joseph and his brother Fred.  He was a father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to so many.  Family meant everything to him and he wasn’t shy to show it.  Joe had his “favorites”, which happened to be everyone, and secretly we all knew it was all of us.

Joe loved being part of the Pharaohs car club and went on many adventures to many states and car shows, including “Back to the 50s” at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. The Pharaohs were his second family and he made some wonderful friends over many years.

Joe is survived by his son Tim, his grandchildren Tim Jr., Casey, Daniel, Trevor, Kelsey and his two great grandchildren, Isla and Draper. He is currently loved and missed by his brothers Ray, Reuben, Manuel and Dickie. He is also survived by his caretaker and daughter Cheryl, Tracy, Linda and Jen (daughter in-law).

A special thanks to the Allina Hospice team for their help and support during his final days.  They made this journey a little less stressful. Joe was a warm, kind, loving and giving man.  It didn't matter if you were blood related or not.  Once you were in his orbit, he cherished you and your time together.  There will never be another like Joe Garcia.
