Joyce Alma Schultz

February 4, 1951 — May 15, 2024

Fridley, MN

Joyce Alma Schultz, age 73, of Fridley, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2024 after a hard but courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born in Sioux Falls, SD and met and married her high school sweetheart, David. They enjoyed 53 years of marriage and raised 5 children.

Joyce loved God and her family fully. It brought her joy to spend time with her husband, kids, and grandchildren. She loved to sew and was amazing at it, designing, making, and altering all types of clothing from wedding dresses to hunting outfits to ornate beautiful baby blankets. Her strawberry rhubarb pie was out of this world. She loved thrift store shopping and garage sales and collecting stamps from around the world. She gave generously to those in need and encouraged many who crossed her path. She was sweet and quirky to be around and had a great sense of humor.

Preceded in death by her father, Frank, her mother, Betty, and beloved daughter Danielle (Ryan).

She is survived by her loving husband, David and children: Amy (Kurtis), Nathan (Marcy), Chris (Martina), Emily (Hakki) and grandchildren Josh, Korbin, Anna, Ethan, Tyrelle, Cierra, Zach, Serenity, Ihsan, Esme, Lindsay, Josiah, Caleb, and Garrett, along with great grandchild Alexandria and many family and friends.

Celebration of Life held at 11AM, Saturday, June 8th, at Fridley Covenant Church (6390 University Ave. NE, Fridley). Reception to follow.
