Judith Yvonne Schirmers (née Swenson)

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Judy, aged 60, on November 24, 2024.

Preceded in death by her parents, Patricia and Leith Swenson. Survived by her daughters, Erin (Adam) Shemon and Paige (Mike) Vath; her grandchildren Gavin, Declan, and Opal Shemon, and Hatcher Vath; and siblings Mike Cassidy, Patricia Schleichert, Sheila Deyo, and Pamela Stephenson .

Born on January 26, 1964 in St. Paul, Minnesota, Judy was the beloved daughter of Leith and Patricia Swenson. She grew up in St. Paul, where she earned her Associate's Degree, and spent much of her life caring for others.

Judy was a devoted daughter, lovingly caring for her father, a Korean War veteran. As a mother, she was fiercely proud of her daughters and adored her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. Judy had a deep love for animals, especially her loyal dog Jack, who was a constant companion.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Matthew's Church, 510 Hall Avenue, St. Paul. Visitation one hour prior to the Mass. Private interment.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judy's memory to the Humane Society.
