Karen Andrea Arechiga passed away on June 11, 2021 from heart complications at age 74. She was born to Dale & Elizabeth (Peterson) Stalder on February 2, 1947 in Minneapolis, MN. She had a wonderful childhood in St. Paul’s Highland Park and graduated from Highland High School, class of 1965. After attending the University of Minnesota, she began a successful and fulfilling career there as a medical illustrator and calligrapher for Biomedical Graphics. She retired in 2002 and spent her retirement years enjoying her passion for antique dolls and linens. On Nov. 25, 1972, she married Roger Arechiga in St. Paul.

Karen is survived by her husband, Roger; children, Tod (Jean), Will (Adina), and Mara Arechiga; grandchildren, Shane, Ashley, Logan, Elisabeth, and Cassius; and her loving brother, Richard Stalder of Salida, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda Richter; and her best friend, Paulette Cavallaro. She will be missed deeply.

A memorial service will be held at OLIVET CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH, 1850 Iglehart Ave, St. Paul, MN on Wednesday, June 23 at 11 AM, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to Feline Rescue Donations, 593 Fairview Ave N, St. Paul, MN 55104.
