Kathleen Boyd, 86, passed away with her family all around her, on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 in Hospice House, South Bend. Kathleen was born on August 2, 1928 in Minneapolis, MN to Michael and Theresa (Ryan) Huttner. She married Galvin Boyd on May 6, 1950 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who preceded her in death in 1976. She is also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Timothy Boyd and her brothers, Donald, Gerald and Edward Dwayne Huttner. Surviving is: her daughter, Terry (Anthony) Marchetti of Osceola, IN; grandchildren, Kathleen (Dan) Blumentritt, Jessica (Ryan) Matthys, Angie (Jeff) Sasz and Aaron (Jamie) Marchetti; great- grandchildren, Max, Colin and Luke Blumentritt, Anna, Zachary, Lauren and Olivia Matthys, Anthony, Trenton and Chloe Marchetti; a sister-in-law, Mary Huttner; her niece and nephews, Dale, Nick, Paula, Michael and John Huttner; and her special friend, Dolores Pishko. Kathleen loyally served as the Secretary to The Reverend Monsignor Terrence J. Murphy, who was the President of the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. She loved and cherished her position, in which she served for over 40 years. The family is thankful that she prayed for them every day without fail. Visitation for Kathleen will be on Thursday, April 16 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at SIMPLE TRADITIONS by BRADSHAW, 671 South Snelling Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota, as well as one hour prior to the Mass at the St. Thomas Chapel. Burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, 10:00 A.M. at the CHAPEL OF ST. THOMAS AQUINAS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS, 2115 Summit Avenue, St. Paul (complimentary parking available in Parking Lot A; enter off Selby Ave. at Finn St.). Burial will follow in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in St. Paul.
