In memory of Keijuan Jarquaway-Antionio Brown, born to Bridgette Williams and Moses Brown on June 25, 1994, and departed on December 9, 2023. As we reflect on his significant impact during his time with us, Keijuan is remembered as a radiant presence, bringing joy and warmth to those fortunate to know him. His spirit, as bright as his smile, left an enduring mark on the hearts he touched.
Keijuan’s varied interests spoke to his vibrant and compassionate nature. His enthusiasm and love for food, cooking, and basketball were unmatched — a self-taught player who reveled in the thrill of the game. Whether it was on the courts of Valley Middle School, Rosemount High School, AAU, or other places in the community, Keijuan cherished every moment on the court. His passion mirrors his joy in gathering with friends and family, infusing life into any gathering with his infectious energy and spontaneous dance moves. If you invited him, he was coming with laughs, dancing, and positive energy.
Family was central to Keijuan’s being—a devoted friend, brother, son, and, most importantly, father. Keijuan considered fatherhood “the greatest thing that ever happened” to him. His commitment to creating a loving and nurturing environment world for his daughter, Jilayah, was evident in his dedication to being a present and caring father. Keijuan’s comforting presence will be sorely missed by those who held him dear.
Keijuan led a life marked by a giving, selfless spirit, always prioritizing the needs and happiness of others above his own. His journey was characterized by a relentless pursuit of personal growth as he strove daily to become a better man.
Preceded in death by his grandmother, Annette Poindexter, and grandfather, LV Johnson, Keijuan leaves behind his daughter, Jilayah; grandmother, Carol Brown Baggett; mother, Bridgette Williams “Steven”; father, Moses Brown; sisters: Keiaireyona, “first-best friend,” and Stevee; brothers: Steven, Saintario, Edward, Steven Jr. “Black,” Jack, Armani, Jeremiah, Brandon “BJ,” Kylan; Godbrother, Markel; Godsister, Ashanti; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.
