Kenneth Amos

d. May 25, 2020

Kenneth Leon Amos was born on March 28, 1957 in Chicago, IL. He sadly died suddenly in the early morning hours of May 25th, 2020 in Minneapolis, MN as a result of cardiac arrest caused by COVID-19.

Kenny was raised in Chicago and educated at Wendell Phillips High School, and Briefly attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Kenny worked various jobs throughout his life, but always strove to use his experience to help others. He dedicated himself to be a positive individual in other’s lives, as seen through his work with Ramsey County Detox Center.

Kenneth was a dedicated father first and foremost. He cherished his children and embraced every moment with them though he faced many challenges while doing so. Kenneth always made sure that his children had the best he could afford, a roof over their heads and food in their stomachs. He especially loved his role as Grandad and made sure that his granddaughter never went without. He had an outgoing and joyful personality and always made people around him feel welcomed.

Kenny is a loving and devoted father to Rico Akeen Amos and Jazmin Imon Amos. He is the adored Grandad to Lauryn Amos.

Kenneth is also survived by his siblings, Mary Amos, Steven Amos, and Martin Amos.
