Mr. Kwei-Wu Fang tragically died on 2/20/22 from a motor vehicle versus pedestrian accident. He was originally born in Taiwan and moved to America to seek the American dream.
Mr. Fang volunteered well over 15 years with the Tzu Chi foundation. He helped cooked homeless meals, washed dishes, and joined monthly nursing home visits. He provided seniors at the nursing home with warm massages to help with their aching joints. He always loved gardening and would share his bounties with his friends, who greatly appreciated his generosity.
He was well versed in Buddhist scriptures and shared his knowledge and understanding with the Buddhist community in the Twin cities area. Mr. Fang enjoyed every minute of his volunteer work and the sense of community that it had given him. He may not have been the easiest person to understand, but he was truly a sincere, generous, and giving soul.
Mr. Fang is survived by his mother, sister Nancy Liu, brothers Fang Kwei-Tsan, Fang Duh-Who, multiple nieces and nephews in Taiwan and in the United States including Allison Fang, David Fang, and Eugene Liu. He is also survived by his daughter Pei-Chun Fang and his grandchildren.
His giving and gracious spirit will definitely be missed in the Twin cities area. Mr. Fang will be missed by all his family and friends.
Donations to Tzu-Chi, trees planted in his name, or flower sent to the memorial ceremony would all be grateful appreciated.
