Fenton, Laurence P.

Age 90, of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on Feb. 13, 2023. Preceded by his parents, Walter and Anne Fenton ; his siblings, Elizabeth, Mark, and Joan ; and his son , Michael. Survived by his sister, Maryfaith Fox (Michael) ; his son, Richard (Mariam) ; granddaughter , Juna , and grandson , Demetrius . Larry was born in Philadelphia, PA , graduated from Washburn HS in Minneapolis and joined the Navy during the Korean War. After attending Minneapolis College of Art and Design, he worked as a graphic artist , photojournalist, and eventually, as a salesman for Rudy Luther Toyota in Golden Valley. Larry’s love of art and photography lasted throughout his retirement , and he took many photographs of nature and everyday life up until recently. A celebration of his life, and display of his artwork will be announced in the coming months.
