Laurie passed away peacefully October 22, 2017, after a battle with lung cancer. She was born May 16, 1952 in East Chicago, Indiana to Cyril Mathias Tribur and Grace Anselma Tribur. She is survived by her husband, Brad; daughters, Martha and Hannah; sons, Doug (Michelle) and Luke; brother, Chris (Marie); and grandchildren, Maxwell, Samantha, Aubrey and Reid. After obtaining a bachelor's degree in Nursing at Saint Catherine University, Laurie went on to an extraordinarily busy and successful life as a small business owner, parent, and grandmother. Laurie was active in her community, and always made time for others. She enjoyed knitting, basket making, reading, bicycling, and spending time with family, friends, and neighbors. She was also an active member of St Anne's Episcopal Church in Sunfish Lake. Laurie treasured her regular vacations to Vero Beach, Florida and the north shore of Lake Superior. She had been looking forward to visiting Europe with her beloved husband Brad, in their retirements. Laurie was beloved by many and will be remembered as selfless, kind, loyal, and strong. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Visitation will be held at St. Anne's Episcopal Church on Thursday, October 26 from 7:00-9:00pm and on Friday, October 27 at 10:00am, prior to mass at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a preferred lung cancer research foundation.
