Laurie Lee Thomson

Laurie Lee Thomson, age 58, of Minneapolis, MN, passed away on April 3, 2023.

She is preceded in passing by her granddaughter, Mariah Aubrecht.

Laurie is survived by her children, Tira (Keith) Fenning and Jessica Ramos; grandchildren, Logan and Faith (Aubrecht), Jomiah and Charlee Fenning; Carmen, Luis, Krystal, Alberto, Franky and Brooklyn (Elton); her mom, Bertha (Jerry) Thomson; her siblings April (John) Peabody and Kathern (Ronald) Schmidt; nieces and nephews, Christopher, Paige and Weston Peabody and Nicole Knight-Schrupp, Alexis Knight Moore and Kyle Knight and a wealth of extended family.

Laurie touched the lives of so many people. Her smile won you over as did the love that she had for her family. Laurie, we give thanks for having you in our lives and we look forward to seeing you again. Heaven just got a little brighter with you there. Give big hugs to all the precious family and friends that passed before you. We are thankful that you are at peace and know that you will not be forgotten.

God Looked Around His Garden

And found an empty place.

He then looked down upon the earth

God’s garden must be beautiful

He always takes the best.

He saw the road was getting rough

And the hills were hard to climb,

So He closed your weary eyelids

And whispered, “Peace be thine.”

It broke our hearts to lose you

But you didn’t go alone,

For part of us went with you

The day God called you home.
