Lee Vickers

Lee Vickers of Eagan, formerly of Minneapolis, passed away on August 28, 2016. Preceded by parents, Warren & Sylvia; sister, Joanne Manteufel. Following retirement from a career as a teacher, football & basketball coach, Lee began a successful painting business. He was a great storyteller. Lee is survived by those he adored: wife of 54 years, Carolyn; children, Tobie (Paul Lee) Vickers-Lee and Pete (Karolyn); grandchildren, Odin, Kai, Jaxon, Zoe and Finn. Lee was a dedicated fan of Lynx and Gopher Women's basketball, the Vikings and Twins. Memorial service will be 11AM Friday at GLORIA DEI LUTHERAN CHURCH, 700 Snelling Ave S, St. Paul, with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to University of Minnesota Foundation: Gopher Women's Basketball, in memory of Lee Vickers.
