Age 98 of St. Paul
Passed away peacefully June 16, 2016. Lester was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Preceded in death by wife Helen, brothers Vince and Leo Boehme, sister Rosemary Wordes and sons Bill and Douglas. Survived by brother Murel (Blanche) Boehme; sister, Jeanette Palkovic; children, Roger, Joanne (Jerry) Gillespie, Steve and Tom (Cheri) Boehme; dozens of grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren. Lester was devoted to his family and the Lord, serving many years for the Legion of Mary and as a Eucharistic minister. Served in the US Navy during WWII, and loved to travel, play cards and fish. Never met a dessert he didn't like. We will miss his grace, exceptional moral character, and of course, his wonderful smile. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, June 24th at 10AM at Church of St. Patrick, 1095 DeSoto Street. Visitation Thursday, June 23rd from 5-8PM at Simple Traditions by Bradshaw, 671 South Snelling Avenue and one hour prior to Mass at the church. Memorials preferred to a charity of your choice.
