Passed away on December 5, 2014
Surrounded with love in her home after a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer. Lori is survived by her loving wife, Traci Herman; and children, Mackenzie Herman-Olson and Grant Herman-Carlson; father, Donald Carlson; brothers, Terry Carlson and Thomas Carlson (Joan); nephew, Jacob; and niece, Tiana. Preceded in death by daughter, Grace Herman-Carlson; mother, Patricia Walbridge; sister-in-law, Julie Carlson and niece, Nicole Carlson. Lori was a passionate advocate for many which was evident by her 18 years of dedicated work with MSEA as a Business Agent and her previous work with both Minneapolis and Robbinsdale Police Departments. Lori will be remembered for her fierce love of family, great strength, incredible generosity, and colorful stories. She was a rare soul who was always there for us when needed. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 12:00 noon at MINNEHAHA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 3701 East 50th Street, Minneapolis. Visitation two hours prior to service and reception immediately following.
