Lucy Tejeda

Lucy Ann (Sanchez) Tejeda (age 84) of the West Side of St. Paul, MN passed away peacefully on October 27,2024.

Lucy is preceded in death by her father, Steven Sanchez; mother, Antonia (Zapata) Sanchez; daughter, Sylvia Richardson and brothers Nick, Steve and Ray Sanchez.

Lucy was the center and heart of her family and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She married her love, Ruben on September 15th, 1956, and they built their life and family together on the West Side of St Paul. She loved celebrating life with family parties, telling stories about the old days and celebrating any holiday with cooking and traditions.

To carry on her many memories, stories and traditions Lucy leaves behind children, Grace Hackenmueller (Gene), Stella Greene(Freddy) and Matt Tejeda; grandchildren, John Richardson, Joshua Richardson (Jessica), Kevin Hackenmueller (Christy), Nicole Iano (Scooter), Aaron Greene (Molly), Brandon Greene, Mara Grisell (Ben), Jake Grisell, Angelise Ambrose, Damien Schwartz, Melissa Charpentier, Tiffany Taylor; great grandchildren, Emiliano and Yasmin Richardson, Edith and Blaise Hackenmueller, Zara and Zoe Greene, De'Metri Thomas, Adelita and Ricky Donaldson, Ana and Lilly Charpentier; Bianca Taylor; siblings, Maryann Valtierra and Frances Sanchez and many more loved ones.

Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday November 8th, 2024, at 11a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 401 Concord St, St Paul, MN 55107. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, 2101 Lexington Ave S, Mendota Heights, MN 55120 followed by a luncheon back at Our Lady Of Guadalupe church. Friends and family are invited to join us in honoring her memory.
