FUNERAL SERVICE FOR MARIA CRISTINA FLORES VALENCIA HAS BEEN CANCELLED IN ANTICIPATION OF INCLEMENT WEATHER. INTERMENT CALVARY CEMETERY, MADELIA FRIDAY, DECEMBER 10 AT 9:30 AM.
María Cristina Flores Valencia, a mother, and loving friend, born on July 19, 1937, passed away on Monday, November 22, at the age of 84.
Cristina was the loving mother of 8 children: Ramón, Cesar, Jorge, Sonia, Esther, Lucia, Ruth and Silvia. They were the joys of her heart, Cristina was a mother who always strived to keep the family together, giving them the best of her and always looking out for the needs of others.
Cristina was born in Ilobasco, El Salvador. Based on what she shared with us, when she was a child, she was given up for adoption at the age of 8. She did not know any family. In her childhood she had to work in order to survive. she enjoyed cooking, and spending time with her family. She did not have the opportunity to go to school. Her heart was to serve other people.
For those who knew Cristina, she will be remembered for her smile, her love and her faith. During her life, she spent many years working at home. she was generous and shared her resources with anyone in need, and she was always ready to help personally.
She is survived by 7 children: Ramón, Jorge, Sonia, Esther, Lucia, Ruth and Silvia, 26 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Cristina gave her life to Jesus, more than 10 years ago, when she was baptized into Christ and committed to letting God guide her. She was a loved member of the church. Her faith in God sustained her hope in his promise, especially in the last years of her life as her health declined. Despite her illness, she never lost the spirit of joy, which comes from our Lord Jesus Christ, and for those who remember her; she comforts us knowing that her Lord and Savior called her home, according to his will.
As we celebrate her life, let us remember Cristina's beautiful smile, her generous heart, her spirit of courage, her perseverance, and her dedication in placing all her hope in the Lord, as he has called her now to his eternal presence.

Cristina era la madre amorosa de 8 hijo.;, Ramón, Cesar, Jorge, Sonia, Esther, Lucia, Ruth y Silvia. Eran las alegrías de su corazón.
Cristina fue una madre que siempre se esforzó por mantener la familia unida, dándoles lo mejor de ella y siempre viendo por las necesidades de los demás.
Cristina nació en Ilobasco, El Salvador. basado en lo que compartió con nosotros, cuando era niña, fue dada en adopción ala edad de 8 años. No conoció familia. En su niñez tuvo que trabajar para poder sobrevivir.
Disfrutaba cocinar, pasar tiempo con la familia. No tuvo la oportunidad de ir a la escuela. Su corazón estaba al servició de la gente. Para aquellos que la conocieron Cristina, será recordada por su sonrisa, su amor y su fe. Durante su vida, pasó muchos de sus años trabajando en casa. Era generosa y compartía recursos con cualquier persona en necesidad, y siempre estaba dispuesta a ayudar personalmente.
Le sobreviven 7 hijos; Ramón, Jorge, Sonia, Esther, Lucia, Ruth y Silvia, 26 nietos y 16 bisnietos. Cristina le entrego su vida a Jesús, hace más de 10 años, cuando fue bautizada en Cristo y comprometida a dejar que Dios la guiara. Ella era un miembro amado de la iglesia. Su fe en Dios sostenía su esperanza en la promesa, especialmente en los últimos años de su vida a medida que su salud decaía. A pesar de su enfermedad nunca perdió el espíritu de gozo, proveniente de nuestro señor Jesucristo y para aquellos que la recordamos; nos reconforta el saber que su Señor y Salvador la llamó al hogar, de acuerdo con Su voluntad.
Al celebrar su vida, recordemos la hermosa sonrisa de Cristina, su corazón generoso, su espíritu de valentía, su perseverancia, y dedicación al poner toda su esperanza en el Señor, como la ha llamado ahora a su presencia eterna.
