Marjorie Joan Peterson (nee Schaefer)

Age 87, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2021, at Waverly Gardens in North Oaks. She was born in St. Paul, was a 1951 graduate of St. Paul Central High School, a 1955 graduate of the University of Minnesota (Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude) and later in 1985, after raising three sons, an MBA recipient from the Carlson School of Management. Employment was at small companies in the north metro area. She is pre-deceased by parents, Cyril and Lillian Schaefer, and by an infant daughter, Susan Elizabeth. She is survived by husband of 65 years, Dwight; sons, Scott (Jennifer), Kent, and Brett (Robin); four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Marilyn Cadwell. Residents of North Oaks since 1964, Marge and Dwight enjoyed good living at home, with many wonderful neighbors, as well as a comfortable house on the North Shore, close to canoe and hiking country. International travel was also a favorite, both occasionally with Dwight for 3M trips and, after his retirement, cruising to far-away places. She was naturally social and loved to host parties for family and friends in North Oaks and “Up North”. Funeral Service Wednesday, November 10, 1:00 P.M. at WHITE BEAR LAKE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 1851 Birch Street. Reviewal 12-1:00 P.M. Masks in the church are strongly recommended. Interment will be held privately.
